Domain Boardroom has been up and running since 2006 and new members are approved individually. The conversations are a little bit slower than some of the larger forums, but they often contain more useful and practical information. The forum gets roughly 50 posts per day.
Membership, though free, is selective, so the forum itself is a little less noisy. Don’t let that scare you off if you’re a newbie though, as there is a great mix of newbies and experts alike that frequent the board. Overall, you could check in once or twice a day and still be able to keep up with the conversations.
In addition to the domaining conversations, the forum also has a section where domain owners can list their names for sale They’ve done a good job of keeping the spam at bay. One of the reasons for this is that they only accept domainers who are serious about succeeding and want to help others do the same. As a matter of fact, they don’t even support the site through advertisers. The forum is well-moderated, clean, and informative, with no visual clutter or banners.
The board moderator, Donna Mahony, is also the founder of the Domainers Choice Awards, and presented the Domainers Choice Scholarship Fund in 2008.
