Time to pack your bags again… it’s a busy month for domainers!
Starting on October 1st 2011, Geo domainers will be meeting in Chicago Illinois for GeoPublishers’ first ever convention and expo. The show is hosted by Fred Mercaldo and will feature speakers such as Don Jones, Ron Jackson, Gordon Borrell, a lunchtime presentation by the Castello Brothers, and many others. The show will run through Sunday afternoon and registration costs $495 for members.
On October 14th, jump back on the plane to Warsaw Poland for the 5th edition of MeetDomainers. Hosted by Daniel Dryzek, the MeetDomainers conference invites all “entrepreneurial, smiling and risk-taking people”, so don’t forget to pack your A-Game. This one day conference is chock-a-block with presentations, workshops, and an auction which mainly focuses on .pl domains that has historically generated 170,000 EUR in sales. Price is 125 EUR and includes the conference, souvenirs, all the networking you can handle and not to forget… Polish beer and vodka!
Two days later on October 16th, head toward the sun in Fort Lauderdale Florida for the 2011 T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference. Set in the Ritz Carlton, TRAFFIC is one of the most anticipated and lavish conferences of the year. The lead sponsor this year is .XXX who recently launched and is gaining momentum. Cabanas by the pool are available throughout the conference for businesses and individuals to network in a chilled environment. Keynote speaker is Bill Kara (Karamouzis) of Hallpass Media who has made an impact in the gaming domain market. TRAFFIC also features a live auction, speed networking session, guest speakers and exhibition booths. Food, accommodation, guests, and program are sure to all be top shelf, and comes with a price of $1595.
When you’ve had your fill at TRAFFIC, hop on another plane and head over to Dakar Senegal for the 42nd ICANN conference between October 23rd and 28th. With new gTLDs just around the corner this is sure to be another exciting and informative conference. The days will be filled with sessions, meetings and workshops, and attendees let their hair down at night to enjoy parties and local festivities.
