We mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Asif LLC had filed a trademark application with the USPTO for .secure. Well, the same company is at it again, filing a new trademark application with the USPTO for .bank. The Wisconsin-based company filed application 85,120,345 on August 31st stating the purpose of the mark as “Domain name registration services”, exactly as it did with the .secure application.,
As we previously mentioned, the USPTO does not allow companies to trademark top level domain names, though many companies have tried in the past.
