Studies show that the majority of domain trademark disputes favor the trademark holders. The study reviewed more than 3,800 domain disputes through the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, which is an inexpensive alternative to traditional litigation procedures for trademark owner’s seeking resolution of a domain trademark equivalent. While the study found that the UDNDRP was effective, it also found that it sided with trademark owner’s rather than domain registrants in approximately 80% of the cases.
