VeriSign’s proposed new wait listing service, which would allow customers to pay to be place a waiting list for a priority position in registering expired domains, has caused tensions among Domain Registrars who call the plan anti-competitive and expensive. Of 17 Registrars who participated in an ICANN call, not a single one supported the proposal.
