Network Solutions domain monopoly continues after more ICANN delays. The domain registration market was to be opened for competition in June after a testing period with limited competition starting in April. However, ICANN has delayed the process again until at least July 16. Network Solutions is trying to maintain ownership over their domain name system and database, and ICANN hasn’t been able to coordinate the new plans.
