The original owner of the domain sex.com and VeriSign have reached a settlement. The lawsuit alleged that Network Solutions was liable for transferring the stolen domain without getting proper authorization. The landmark case essentially considered domain names actual property. ICANN has asked a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit that was brought against the organization by VeriSign.
