Less than a year after the public began registering the .me ccTLD, according to doMEn. This milestone makes the .me ccTLD the fastest growing launch on record. The Registry hit a milestone of 200,000 .me domains with the registration of OpenDoor.me. The increase in growth was helped by lowered minimum registration requirements, which went from two years to one year in October.
The .me extension, while popular in the United States, has become increasingly popular in more than 181 countries around the world. The TLD is offered by more than 100 Domain Registrars.
