Activist Bill Purdy was ordered in court to turn over copycat URL WPNI.org, which the court deemed similar to WPNI.com, a domain used by Washington Post/Newsweek employees in their email addresses. After ordered to turn over the name, Bill Purdy has continued to register numerous domains. He now faces criminal sanctions, including possible jail sentence. Purdy additionally was sued by Coca-Cola and Pepsi for trademark infringement.
