Escrow Services

An escrow service refers to a company that facilitates a secure transaction between buyer and seller.  In the domain world, an escrow service will first request payment from the buyer.  When they have received the funds they will then instruct the seller to transfer the domain to the buyer.  As soon as the domain is officially transferred (as verified via whois), the funds are then released to the seller.  Escrow services are a smart way to handle domain transactions.  They charge a nominal percentage of the sale price and most give the option of charging this fee to the buyer, or the seller, or splitting the cost.  This topic is covered in more depth throughout the iGoldrush.com web site.
